What was the highlight of Hotel Victor South Beach

Great location. Old old building.

The location. It’s right across from the beach. And everything is close by.

Very old property. You can tell they tried to upgrade but just threw in marble shower and added some paint in the rooms. The pool area needs alot of work. Also they were adding stages and building on the beach for art Basel coming up. You had to walk a few blocks to actually use the beach.

It’s nice and not very expensive, the front desk service could be better

Pretty clean, there is a restaurant under the hotel and it’s in a good location

The parking is pretty expensive, and one of the receptionists (Laura) was really rude and sarcastic. Other receptionists were fine but she really ruined our experience in the first night. The pool is pretty average, though it's really nice for tanning and dipping. Drinks in the bar there were also not cheap.

Very Good

I really enjoyed the poolside room with the cabanas on the pool deck. We loved being able to see the ocean from the pool area. The hotel staff was very friendly and hospitable.

Our door to the pool deck was very difficult to slide and needed some TLC. The cabana cushions could also use time TLC as there is some visible gunk building up on the under sides of the cushions.

Perfect location, right across the beach! Room was decent and staff were nice.

Room was a bit smaller compared to similar hotels we stayed at on our trip

Hotel friendly and helpful. Hotel is in a great location with lovely views of ocean drive and the beach. Hotel is clean and tidy with a nice pool and gym. The restaurant is excellent, food is amazing and again staff friendly and helpful.

Overall good hotel, a bit noisy outside in the evenings particularly weekends, but that’s South Beach

Great location for South Beach, staff friendly

Lobby areas away from reception are dated and a bit industrial looking, needs updating. Bike hire is a good free service but bikes in need urgent need of maintenance. Our bikes had no working brakes, worn, gears not working, hotel should regularly check for the safety of their guests Finally, asked reception about bus tour options, tried to flog us an inappropriate tour, I guess they get more commission for the one they want to sell us. Left a bad taste

Staff are very kind and helpful. Perfect location. Amazing to have a lavazza coffee machine in the room.

The pool was smaller than it looked on the photos. the mattress and the pillows are very soft, for me it wasn’t comfortable.

A great place for a first visit to Miami!

Amazing location right on South Beach, loved the Art Deco feel and room styling. The staff were super friendly and the double loungers were amazing! Would definitely return.

Pool was in the shade all day but for some this may be a good thing! Still plenty of loungers in the sun for sunbathing The location means there is a bit of noise at night, nothing too bad but if you are a very light sleeper could be a problem!

Nixe Location by the beach, waking distance to shops

The bed was large but we kept waking up due to sweating. We had the AC on and window closed, so we weren’t hot in the night but still super sweaty on the parts touching the mattress due to the mattress’s protection cover which must have been plastic (sounded like). We woke up several times a night.

Victor Suite

Veronica and the team were very helpful and friendly during our stay. The Victor Suite was very large, comfortable, and stylish. The views to the sea in the Victor Suite are to the side, you can see Ocean Drive, the Park and the beach. The outside terrace has views on both sides, but these can only be seen by standing (as the walls are tall for safety) or sitting in or around the jacuzzi. The 2 penthouses are served by their own lift. Air conditioning works with the terrace door open, which is great to get some fresh air overnight. Breakfast is provided by a voucher for Cafe Americano, in which you get a choice of breakfasts with Tea/Coffee and Orange juice.

Possible improvements would be to upgrade the TVs to support Casting/DNLA and or connected to the network, so streaming would be possible. The built-in HiFi system uses headphone connection, not Bluetooth.

Nice hotel in the middle of South Beach.

Nice hotel. The room was spacious and nice decorated. The shower was good. The restaurant near the hotel where they serves breakfast was delicious and the service was good. The team was welcoming and helpful especially Lora and Ricardo. We loved them.

The entrance was very cold and not so pleasant to sit.

Great location and amazing service

The location of this hotel is great and very central location on south beach, so many great restaurants and bars located conveniently close and having the beach across the road was another highlight. The service and staff , some of the friendliest we came across during our tour of the US. Really took attention to detail to get to know their guest and accommodate were they can. Everyone that worked there were excellent.

I would score this place higher. for 99.9% of our stay it was a 10/10. However, our shower/bathtub did not feel clean and found clumps of hair stuck to the walls. Although we ignored this and did not make a fuss as the hair was not in the direct area of the shower. It felt a little unclean, the ceiling also had water stains from clear leaks above the bed although we did not experience any leaks during our stay. It would been nice if these stains would have been up-kept and painted over to make it look nicer. They also used a really strong cleaning product in their rooms that we ended up not allowing them service our room during our stay as it was almost unbearable the first night and we had trouble sleeping until the smell went away.

Excellent location, clean hotel with lovely pool

Excellent Location, the hotel was very clean and the pool was also lovely! Directly across the road from the beach. Cafe Americano (linked with the hotel) had excellent food and service, would highly recommend it also. Free tea and coffee available at reception even when breakfast isn't included in the stay.

Clean, excellent location just across the road from the beach, lovely staff (except the arrendents in the cafeteria who were okay but could be more attentive and put a smile on the face).
